DISABLE YOUR ANTIVIRUS BEFORE RUNNING ‘Setup.exe’ (IMPORTANT), as the antivirus will mark ‘setup’ as a suspicious file, making it unable to start the setup or it may run it but with some failures, the same for uninstallation… After running the setup, click ‘Configure’, specify the installation directory, click Next, then select the required software (Direct X [provided in the Redist folder]), then again, finally ‘Install’… PLAY THE GAME FROM THE DESKTOP SHORTCUT using run as administrator….
Always open the game using ‘Run as administrator’ to avoid game crashing/saving issues
For the first time when you open the game, the game will take some time to start (black screen) and skip the intro video, be patient, next time it will start normally and fast…. The game will always show the ‘Mansion and Garden Stuff’ loading screen, as it is the latest expansion, everything is included in it……. The first time you load each world, it takes time to load, be patient, it’s like running 10 games at the same time (don’t assume it crashed), just wait and let it load…..

If it still crashes, lower the graphics settings in the game options and make sure you meet the system requirements. NOTE: Change ‘Shadows’ from high to low or medium through the game’s Graphics/Performance options, otherwise a black square will appear below your Sims instead of inner shadows… If you are unable to change the game resolution from 800×600 or something else, read the provided ‘Reolution change.txt’ text file to fix it…
