The opening credits sequence shows various photographic and painted views, as well as Oklahoma landmarks imposed on the New York landscape: A statue of a Sioux Indian chief “Touch the Clouds”; wearing a War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (breastplate) placed atop the Brooklyn BridgeGolden Driller Statue imposed on the Statue of LibertyRoute 66 Western Gateway Arch imposed on a Major Manhattan “Avenue”. In New York City, in the borough of Manhattan, these are a number of numbered “Avenues”; which are interspersed with smaller numbered streets.. I don’t think any other actor could have played this role.
His supporting cast is no-name, I don’t recognize any of the other actors
Sly is bigger than the small screen and he gave the best lines in this show. I’ve only seen episode 1 on YT, I don’t have Paramount, but if there were more on YT I’d definitely watch it. And filming in Tulsa gives the show a "flavor" vs filming on a Hollywood set.
Age is doing him good
I think Stallone hit his peak with the Creed movies and this TV show. I’m glad he’s away from those action movies that I think he’s outgrown. This is a good fit for him.
