001). Significant survival improvements in surgery group compared with non-surgery group were observed in patients with lung-only metastasis (adjusted HR = 0.45, P  less then  .001), bone-only metastasis (adjusted HR = 0.40, P  less then  .001), and liver-only metastasis (adjusted HR = 0.27, P  less then  .001), whereas no survival improvement of surgery was found for patients with brain-only metastasis (adjusted HR = 0.57, P = .059) or multiply organ distant metastases (adjusted HR = 0.81, P = .099).The survival benefit from primary tumor surgery for DTC patients with DM varies by metastatic sites. Decisions for primary tumor surgery of DTC patients with DM should be tailored according to metastatic sites.

Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the most familiar disease of the male reproductive system globally. In treating the clinically localized PC, the radical prostatectomy is regarded as a gold standard, but it is associated with syndromes as urinary incontinence (UI), which can have a significant impact on patients’ quality of life. Nurse takes responsibility in the management of the UI for their convenience compared with doctors to contact with patients and build better trust relationships with survivals. However, most of the studies focus on the physiological level, the psychological nursing intervention research is less. The purpose of the trial is to introduce a psychological intervention program and to study its effects on anxiety and depression after prostatectomy in IU patients.

This is a single-center randomized controlled trial that was authorized by Ethics Committee of the First People’s Hospital of Chenzhou City (2020054). One hundred participants who undergo radical prostatectomy are analyzed. Inclsitive effect on depression and anxiety in the UI patients after receiving the radical prostatectomy.

Pulmonary surfactant (PS) is commonly used for the treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS), several randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have evaluated the role of nebulized versus invasively delivered PS, yet the results remained inconsistent. Therefore, we aimed to conduct this meta-analysis to evaluate the effects and safety of nebulized versus invasively delivered PS in the treatment of NRDS.

We searched PubMed et al databases from inception date to May 15, 2020 for RCTs that compared nebulized vs invasively delivered PS. Two authors independently screened the studies and extracted data from the published articles. Epalrestat mw Summary odd ratios (OR) or mean differences (MDs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated for each outcome by means of fixed- or random-effects model.

Two RCTs with a total of 95 preterm neonates were identified, with 48 neonates received PS nebulization and 47 neonates undergone invasive PS administration. There was no significant difference in the SpO2 level (MD = -0.44, 95% CI -6.01 to 5.12) and the A/APaO2 level (MD = 0.01, 95% CI -0.02 to 0.05) 1 hour after treatment among 2 groups. But the duration of mechanical ventilation in the nebulization groups was significantly less than that of invasive group (MD = -30.70, 95% CI -41.45 to 19.95).

Given the limited evidences, the effects and safety of nebulized versus invasively delivered PS still need further verification.

Kangfuxin (KFX), a well-known Chinese patent medicine which extracted from Periplaneta americana, is widely used as an adjuvant in the treatment of peptic ulcers (PUs) with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) such as rabeprazole, in China. However, no clear consensus has been reached on the efficacy for PU treatment.

We searched in 7 electronic databases to find randomized controlled trials (RCTs) completed before May 31, 2020 to explore the clinical efficiency of KFX plus rabeprazole in the treatment of PU. Risk ratio (RR) corresponding to 95% confidence interval (CI) was calculated to estimate the outcomes. Publication bias was assessed by both Egger’s and Begg’s tests. Statistical analyses were performed using RevMan 5.4 and Stata version 10.0.

Twenty-five RCTs, comprising 2555 PU patients, were included in this study. Meta-analysis showed that, when compared with rabeprazole-based treatment alone, KFX plus rabeprazole significantly improved the healing rate (RR = 1.34, 95% CI 1.25-1.44) and overall response rate of ulcers (RR = 1.16, 95% CI 1.13-1.20), alleviated the clinical symptoms of PU (RR = 1.14, 95% CI 1.08-1.21), and reduced the recurrence of PU (RR = 0.38, 95% CI 0.24-0.61) without an increase in the occurrence of adverse events (RR = 0.92, 95% CI 0.66-1.28).

Our study suggests that KFX combined with rabeprazole showed positive therapeutic effects and is safe for treating PU, which may provide more reliable evidence for the clinical use of KFX in the treatment of PU.

Affected individuals can show spontaneous healing, develop remission with drug treatment within 2 years, or become chronically ill. Our main goal was to identify features that are related to prognosis. The study consisted of 101 patients, recruited at a single center, who were already diagnosed with sarcoidosis at the start of the study or were diagnosed within 48 months. Ninety individuals were followed-up for at least 24 months and were classified according to clinical outcome status (COS 1 to 9). Those with COS 1-4 and COS 5-9 were classified as having favorable and unfavorable outcomes, respectively. Unconditional logistic regression analyses were conducted to define which variables were associated with sarcoidosis outcomes. Subsequently, we established a scoring system to help predict the likelihood of a favorable or unfavorable outcome.Of our patients, 48% developed a chronic form of the disease (COS 5-9). Three clinical features were predictive of prognosis in sarcoidosis.
