paramamosain in Malaysia was very low (n = 29). No single individual of S. serrata from Malaysia was recorded in this study. Both genetic distance and phylogenetic approaches exhibited a correlative monophyletic association among all specimens analysed. This present study is crucial as it reports the reassessment of all species within genus Scylla in Malaysia, eventually could be employed as a reference source for subsequent research mainly on mariculture and other conservation efforts for the species. © 2019 The Authors. Background and objective Self-esteem refers to a degree to which a person esteem himself or herself, the summation in light of cognizant self-evaluative considerations and feeling or in short as global emotional placement of self. This study investigates the relationship between self-esteem, social factors, and academic achievement in the form of grade point average (GPA) standing for academic achievement in the health science colleges. Methods This study is a quantitative cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), and the participants were health Science Colleges’ undergraduate students. The questionnaire is composed of 24 questions in 4 main sections. The self-esteem was evaluated by using a validated Rosenberg Self-Esteem 7-questions Scale used only. Results A total of 551 questionnaires were distributed to the students, and 507 of them responded. Out of 507 responded, 7 were excluded due to a lack of the information. 47 (9.4%) were Foundation year students, 109 (21.8%) Medical students, 44 (8.8%) Dental students, 97 (19.4%) Pharmacy students, 101 (20.2%) Nursing students and 102 (20.4%) from Applied science. The students’ overall responses demonstrated that most of the health science students agreed in a positive way of self-esteem (1.68 ± 0.31). Conclusion The findings from the current study contribute to the resources to better oversee projects to upgrade health sciences students’ self-esteem, some short term courses (i.e. VX-680 English, personality development and motivation) are requested to boost the academic career and confidence by lifting self-esteem; it indirectly helps to better academic performance. Students also need special counseling for how to deal with stress, anxiety and depression. © 2019 Published by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of King Saud University. The objective of this research is to solve the current medical problems of a high incidence of fungal infections in the lungs, high misdiagnosis rate, and high mortality. In this study, firstly, the logistic regression model was used to conduct. Risk factors of pulmonary fungal infection in respiratory department were analyzed. Then a model of pulmonary fungal infection in mice was constructed, and the expression difference of Progranulin (PGRN) in serum was detected by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA). The expression of PGRN in lung tissues of mice infected by pulmonary fungi was detected by Western bolt method and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The PGRN protein and mRNA expression in the lung epithelial cells of mice were detected after the infection. Results logistic regression model was used to analyze the main risk factors affecting pulmonary infection in mice. The risk factors of pulmonary fungal infection were indent catheter, hypoproteinemia, long-term use of glucocorticoid anry infection. © 2019 The Author(s).The objective of this research was to study the effect of tong bian decoction on colon transport function of interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) in chronic transit constipation (CTC) and the inhibition of autophagy of ICC, so as to achieve the free movement of the bowels. In this research, the experimental rats were divided into normal group (NG) and model group (MG) by random method, and the rat model of CTC was constructed by subdivision circulatory increasing operation gavage method of rhubarb. After the successful establishment of the model, the rats were divided into normal group, MG, tong bian decoction gavage group, mosapride group and normal recovery group. Then, rats in the NG and the MG were killed at the same time, and rats in the tong bian decoction gavage group, mosapride group and normal recovery group were killed at the same time. In this study, the transport function of colon of rats in each group was detected by activated carbon method, and the number of fecal residues in the colon was observedC, and provides power for the large intestine, so as to achieve the free movement of the bowels. Therefore, the results of this study have certain guiding meaning for the treatment of CTC with traditional Chinese medicine. © 2019 The Author(s).Recent trends in anticancer therapy is to use therapeutic agents which not only kill the cancer cell, but are less toxic to surrounding normal cells/tissue. One approach is to cut the nutrient supply to growing tumor cells, by blocking the formation of new blood vessels around the tumor. As the phytochemicals and botanical crude extracts have proven their efficacy as natural antiangiogenic agents with minimum toxicities, there is need to explore varieties of medicinal plants for novel antiangiogenic compounds. Rumex vesicarius L. (Humeidh), is an annual herbal plant with proven medicinal values. The antiangiogenic potential, and developmental toxicity of humeidh in experimental animal models has never been studied before. The crude extracts were prepared from the roots, stems, leaves and flowers of Rumex vesicarius L. in methanol, chloroform, ethyl acetate and n-hexane. The developmental toxicity screening in zebrafish embryos, has revealed that Rumex vesicarius was not toxic to zebrafish embryos. The chlorofpared from R. vesicarius can further be tested in clinical trials in order to explore its therapeutic potential as an effective and safe natural anticancer product. © 2019 The Author(s).To investigate the effect of apatinib when treating advanced gastric cancer (GC) as well as the mechanism of preventing infection. METHODS From January 2017 to December 2018, 100 advanced GC patients had failed to receive second-line or above treatment in XX Hospital were divided into two groups according to the experimental requirements the experimental group and the blank group. The experimental group was treated with small molecule targeted drug apatinib, while the blank group was only treated with ordinary drugs. After 4 weeks of treatment, the diagnosis and evaluation were carried out every eight weeks. In this study, the mechanism of infection prevention and prognosis was studied through the internal treatment of GC patients with apatinib. RESULTS until the end of the fourth week, a significant difference can be seen in the treatment effect between the experimental group as well as the blank group. In the experimental group, the proportion of partial remission + disease stability reached about 73%, while that in the blank group was only about 33%.
