    This study tested the hypothesis that affordances for grasping with the corresponding hand are activated more strongly by three-dimensional (3D) real objects than by two-dimensional (2D) pictures of the objects. In Experiment 1, participants made left and right keypress responses to the handle or functional end (tip) of an eating utensil using compatible and incompatible mappings. In one session, stimuli were spoons mounted horizontally on a blackboard with the sides to which the handle and tip pointed varying randomly. In the other, stimuli were pictures of spoons displayed on a black computer screen. Three-dimensional and 2D sessions showed a similar benefit for compatible mapping when the tip was relevant and a small cost of compatible mapping when the handle was relevant. Experiment 2 used a flanker task in which participants responded compatibly to the location of the handle or the tip, and spoons located above and below the target spoon could have congruent or incongruent orientations. The difference between 3D and 2D displays was not obtained in the flanker effect for reaction time. There was little evidence that 3D objects activate grasping affordances that 2D images do not. Instead, we argue that visual salience of the tip is the critical factor determining these correspondence effects.The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of screw preload values on the bone-plate system. The preload value was taken differently in the literature range from 50 N to 3000 N. These preload value were examined in this study. The finite element method was used to calculate the strain and stress on the models. The long bone, plate and screws were modeled as 3D using CAD software. The finite element models were created using Ansys Workbench software. The convergence and validation study were made for the correct results. The 400 N axial load was applied to the proximal end of bone. The distal end of the bone fixed for boundary condition. The preload values were applied to the screws differently. The results of the finite element analysis were compared and evaluated. The results showed that when the preload values increased, the von Mises stresses and strains on the bone and plate system increased. The critical preload value of the screw is the 500 N. The upper values of this critical value can be damaged bone and plate system. The critical region of the bone is the holes where the screw inserted. In conclusion, the preload values of the screw should not exceed the 500 N for the successful fixation.Termitomyces sp. OE 147 is one of the active cellulose degraders in the ecosphere and produces large amount of cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH) and β-glucosidases when cultivated on cellulose. In order to investigate its effect on cellulose, a highly purified preparation of CDH was obtained from the culture supernatant of the fungus cultivated on cellulose. A combination of ultrafiltration, ion-exchange and gel-filtration chromatography was used to purify CDH by ∼172-fold to a high specific activity of ∼324 U/mg protein on lactose which was used for routine measurement of enzyme activity. The enzyme displayed a pH optimum of 5.0 and stability between pH 5.0 and 8.0 with maximum catalytic efficiency (kcat/Km ) of 397 mM-1 s-1 on cellobiose. Incubation of microcrystalline cellulose with the purified CDH led to production of reducing sugars which was accelerated by the addition of FeCl3 during the early stages of incubation. A mass spectrometric analysis revealed fragmentation products of cellulose which were concluded to be cellodextrins, sugars, and corresponding aldonic acids suggesting that CDH can release reducing sugars in the absence of externally added lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases. Polymerized products of glucose were also detected at low intensity.The attentional boost effect (ABE) is a phenomenon in which in some dual tasks, increased attention to target detection causes an increase in memory performance related to items paired with the target. However, in previous studies concerning the ABE, the detection task objects usually reflected perceptual information. Whether the ABE could be observed if the task involves detecting semantic information is unclear. To answer this question, the present study adopted the classic dual-task paradigm of the ABE. Stigma and discrimination are universal phenomenon for the epidemic of HIV and exposure to people with HIV. The present study aimed to develop and measure psychometrically the HIV/AIDS Stigma and discrimination scale from the general population viewpoint in southeast Iran. Data collection lasted from May to September 2016. The results showed that the “HIV/AIDS Stigma and discrimination scale” had an acceptable internal consistency and stability (Cronbach’s alpha coefficient = 0.69, omega coefficient = 0.7, and r = 0.57, p = 0.001). The scale had acceptable content and face validities. The Principal Axis Factoring (PAF) with varimax rotation analysis shows that the scale has 4 dimensions “patient social position” (5 items), “social support” (4 items), “social disease perspective” (7 items), and “social harassment” (2 items). In general, the psychometric properties of “HIV/AIDS Stigma and discrimination scale” are acceptable, and this scale can be used in studies.
