    To conduct a systematic review of published evidence on clozapine prescribing disparities across racial and ethnic categories, estimate the size of these disparities, and assess possible causes to inform future monitoring and intervention.

    Electronic databases (MEDLINE, Embase, PsycINFO, Web of Science) were searched for directly relevant studies. Three independent reviewers selected studies (1) of US samples; (2) directly addressed ethnic and/or racial disparities in prescribing of antipsychotic medications; (3) identified specific ethnic and/or racial groups (e.g. White, Blacks, Hispanics, non-Hispanic etc.); (4) reported clozapine prescription rates and (5) reported relevant covariates (i.e. gender, age, co-morbidities etc.).

    16 studies met our eligibility criteria. All studies reported clozapine underutilization in ethnic and racial minority patients when compared to their white counterparts. These findings remained consistent despite different time periods, designs, data set types, and after controlling for relevant covariates such as length of hospital stay, institutional setting, and disease severity.

    The reasons for underutilization of clozapine in minority patients remain unclear. Various contributors can be categorized as clinician-related factors (e.g. prescriber lack of experience), patient-related factors (e.g. distrust or suspicion of clinician), and institution-related factors (e.g. state operated facilities). Direct examination of these factors can help inform efforts to reduce clozapine prescription disparities.

    This study aims to find the prevalence of medication non-compliance among schizophrenia inpatients and to compare the relative risks of medication non-compliance with cannabis use disorders (CUDs) versus without CUDs. In addition, this study also examines the odds of medication non-compliance in schizophrenia inpatients with CUDs.

    This is a retrospective cross-sectional analysis of the nationwide inpatient sample. This sample includes 1,030,949 inpatients (age 18 to 65years) from 2010 to 2014 with primary ICD-9 diagnoses of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, that were further sub grouped based on medication non-compliance. CUDs were recognized using the ICD-9 codes.

    The prevalence of medication non-compliance was 26% among schizophrenia inpatients. Multivariable analysis revealed that CUD comorbidity was a significant risk factor for medication non-compliance among schizophrenia patients when unadjusted (OR 1.49, 95%CI 1.469-1.503), and association remained significant even after adjusting forsis will translate into better long-term outcomes in schizophrenia patients.There is increasing knowledge on the role of antibodies against myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG-abs) in acquired demyelinating syndromes and autoimmune encephalitis in children. Better understanding and prediction of outcome is essential to guide treatment protocol decisions. Therefore, this part of the Paediatric European Collaborative Consensus provides an oversight of existing knowledge of clinical outcome assessment in paediatric MOG-ab-associated disorders (MOGAD). The large heterogeneity in disease phenotype, disease course, treatment and follow-up protocols is a major obstacle for reliable prediction of outcome. However, the clinical phenotype of MOGAD appears to be the main determinant of outcome. Patients with a transverse myelitis phenotype in particular are at high risk of accruing neurological disability (motor and autonomic), which is frequently severe. In contrast, having a single episode of optic neuritis any time during disease course is broadly associated with a lower risk of persistent disability. Furthermore, MOG-ab-associated optic neuritis often results in good functional visual recovery, although retinal axonal loss may be severe. The field of cognitive and behavioural outcome and epilepsy following demyelinating episodes has not been extensively explored, but in recent studies acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (-like) phenotype in the young children was associated with cognitive problems and epilepsy in long-term follow-up. In conclusion, main domains of importance in determining clinical outcome in paediatric MOGAD are visual, motor, autonomic and cognitive function. A standardised evaluation of these outcome domains in all children is of importance to allow adequate rehabilitation and follow-up.

    Decline in cognitive function after night shift has been well described. However, in the field of spine surgery, the effect of surgeons’ sleeplessness on patient outcome is unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the risk of perioperative complications in elective thoracolumbar spine surgery could be higher if the surgeon had been on a night shift prior to the day of surgery.

    We performed a retrospective review of patients who underwent elective posterior thoracolumbar spine surgery, as indicated in medical records, between March 2015 and September 2018. In total, 1189 patients were included and divided into two groups the post-nighttime (n=110) and control groups (n=1079). A post-nighttime case was defined when the operating surgeon was on nighttime duty on the previous night, and other cases were defined as controls. We evaluated the incidence of perioperative complications (surgical site infection, postoperative hematoma, postoperative paralysis, nerve root injury, and dural tear)pine surgeries, but was an independent risk factor of dural tear, especially in complex cases.

    Open-wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) has extensively been used for the correction of medial knee osteoarthritis. The proximal tibia is osteotomized and distracted to enable the rotation of tibial fragments around the lateral hinge. Both, wedge inclination on the medial side and saw progression near the lateral cortex determine the hinge orientation. This study focused on the interaction between hinge orientation and distraction sites on the coronal, sagittal, and horizontal planes of the distracted plateau.

    Three parameters of wedge inclination, saw progression, and distraction site (i.e., posterior, middle, and anterior) were systematically varied. Using a three-dimensional (3D)-printing technique, the osteotomized tibiae were manufactured as the specimens for the invitro experiments. In total, 27 variations (3×3×3) were tested. After distraction, the specimens were scanned by computed tomography and spatially registered with the original tibia to compare the 3D angles of the distracted plateaus.

    Coronal rotation is the main purpose of OWHTO; therefore, all the values of the coronal angles were positive and significantly higher than the other two.
