    Resistance nature of Plasmodium falciparum (P. falciparum) to the most effective antimalarial drug, Artemisinin, intimidate the global goal of total eradication of malarial. The medicinal plants contain various phytoconstituents that are liable for their anthelmintic activity. The aerial parts of the Chenopodium album were successively extracted with microwaves assisted extraction using petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, methanol, hydroalcoholic and aqueous solvents to get respective extracts (CAPE, CAEE, CAME, CAHE, and CAAE). All the extracts were analyzed for preliminary phytochemical screening for the identification of phytoconstituents. The anthelmintic activity was analyzed on Indian adult earthworms Eisenia foetida using piperazine citrate (PCT) as a standard drug. All the extracts (apart from CAAE) lead to paralysis and fatality of the earthworms. CAEE extract exhibits highly significant anthelmintic activity at a 10 mg/ml concentration by causing paralysis and fatality of earthworms and was more potent than PCT suspension. However, little to no information exists as to whether immune responses to the solar inactivated pathogens are induced in SODIS water consumers. This study assessed the potential for solar inactivated S. Typhimurium to induce an immune response in mice. Results show that solar inactivated S. Typhimurium can induce bactericidal antibodies against S. Typhimurium. Furthermore, an increase in the secretion of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) was observed in mice given the solar inactivated S. Typhimurium. These findings suggest that solar inactivated S. Typhimurium induces a humoral and cellular immune response. Hence, it is essential to understand the mechanisms regulating reproduction in order to increase their production. Prostaglandins (PGs) play an important role in reproduction in most vertebrates and several invertebrates. It has been proposed that crustaceans have PGs but the prostanoids pathway in the giant freshwater prawn is still unclear. In this study, we identified 25 prostanoid-related genes involved in the biosynthesis of active prostanoids in M. rosenbergii using in silico searches of transcriptome data. Gene expression analysis revealed the correlation of MroPGES2 gene expression level with the progress of ovarian development.
