However, behaviour problems, such as aggression, food guarding and separation-related behaviours, were not reliably predicted by the standardised behaviour assessment. The results suggest that further research is required to improve the predictability of behaviour assessment protocols for more specific behaviour problems, including different categories of aggression and separation-related problems. We recommend that dog behaviour assessments in shelters are used only in conjunction with other monitoring tools to assess behaviour over the whole shelter stay, thus facilitating increased safety/welfare standards for dogs, shelters and the wider community. The behaviour of graded acetylated pigeon pea starch during heat processing was evaluated in addition to the corresponding effect of their incorporation at 1.5% (w/v) as a stabilizer in set-type yoghurt. Acetylated starch possessed higher solubility and swelling power than native starch under the temperature regimes considered. Addition of acetylated pigeon pea starch as a stabilizer in yoghurt had positive influence on the water holding capacity (7.7% to 10.4% compared to 13.3% in yoghurt stabilized with native pigeon pea starch) and whey syneresis (approximately 15%, 12%, and 8% increase observed in yoghurt with acetylated pea starch compared to 47% in yoghurt with native pea starch stabilizer) at the end of a 28-day cold storage period. In addition, pea starch-stabilized yoghurt possessed an enhanced sensory attribute (firmness), and compared favourably with gelatin-stabilized yoghurt in terms of overall acceptability. Thus, acetylated pigeon pea starch exhibited improved physicochemical properties and showed usefulness as a stabilizer in yoghurt because it enhanced the physicochemical, storability, and sensorial quality, while improving the body and texture of the product.Gait is a characteristic that has been utilized for identifying individuals. As human gait information is now able to be captured by several types of devices, many studies have proposed biometric identification methods using gait information. As research continues, the performance of this technology in terms of identification accuracy has been improved by gathering information from multi-modal sensors. However, in past studies, gait information was collected using ancillary devices while the identification accuracy was not high enough for biometric identification. In this study, we propose a deep learning-based biometric model to identify people by their gait information collected through a wearable device, namely an insole. The identification accuracy of the proposed model when utilizing multi-modal sensing is over 99%.The structure and properties of nanocomposites based on organosoluble polyimide (PI) and branched functional metallosiloxane oligomers with different types of central metal atoms (Al, Cr, Fe, Zr, Hf and Nb) were investigated. Under the same weight content of the filler, the geometric parameters of the nanoparticles and thermal properties of the nanocomposites did not exhibit a direct relationship with the ability of the materials to withstand the incident flow of oxygen plasma. The atomic oxygenerosion resistance of the filled PI films was influenced by the composition of the hybrid fillerand the type of metal atom in the hybrid filler in the base metallosiloxane oligomer. To determine the effectiveness of the nanoparticles as protective elements of the polymer surface, the nanocomposite erosion yields pertaining to the concentration of the crosslinked organo-inorganic polymer forming the dispersed phase were determined and expressed in mmol per gram PI. SKF38393 The filler concentration in the polymer, expressed in these units, allows for comparison of the efficiency of different nanosize fillers for use in fabricating space survivable coatings. This can be important in the pursuit of new precursors, fillers for fabricating space survivable polymer composites.Different classes of foldamers, which are synthetic oligomers that adopt well-defined conformations in solution, have been the subject of extensive studies devoted to the elucidation of the forces driving their secondary structures and their potential as bioactive molecules. Regardless of the backbone type (peptidic or abiotic), the most important features of foldamers are the high stability, easy predictability and tunability of their folding, as well as the possibility to endow them with enhanced biological functions, with respect to their natural counterparts, by the correct choice of monomers. Foldamers have also recently started playing a starring role in the self-assembly of higher-order structures. In this review, selected articles will be analyzed to show the striking number of self-assemblies obtained for foldamers with different backbones, which will be analyzed in order of increasing complexity. Starting from the simplest self-associations in solution (e.g., dimers of β-strands or helices, bundles, interpenetrating double and multiple helices), the formation of monolayers, vesicles, fibers, and eventually nanostructured solid tridimensional morphologies will be subsequently described. The experimental techniques used in the structural investigation, and in the determination of the driving forces and mechanisms underlying the self-assemblies, will be systematically reported. Where applicable, examples of biomimetic self-assembled foldamers and their interactions with biological components will be described.A narrative review was conducted to propose dental hygiene diagnoses for cancer patients based on dental hygiene process of care in acute care hospitals. Six researchers, including three dental hygienists, all with expertise in oral healthcare for patients with cancer, decided the review outline. All researchers reviewed the literature and developed terminology for dental hygiene diagnoses. The team then modified the terminology and discussed its clarity and acceptability to develop an initial list of dental hygiene diagnosis names according to the dental hygiene human needs conceptual model subscales. In wholesome facial image, one new diagnosis was developed. In protection from health risks, 15 new diagnoses were developed. In biologically sound and functional dentition, 10 new diagnoses were developed. In skin and mucous membrane integrity of the head and neck, 10 new diagnoses were developed. In freedom from head and neck pain, two new diagnoses were developed. In freedom from anxiety and stress, eight new diagnoses were developed.
