We have three dogs and all of them have beds. For the oldest we use an orthopedic bed, that is stain resistant and waterproof. The bedding is perfect for her, as her joints are tender and creates the perfect addition to her “bedroom”. The middle “child” has a standard rectangle bed that has a nightly ritual of wadding it up into what she feels will be the best bedding for that night. Our baby takes her stuffed duck “Dotty” to bed with her each night and lays like the angel she is in her bed that fills the bottom of her crate fully. Sometimes she just goes in to her crate to just take a nap. Our baby also uses a “cool bed” in the summer during her agility trials which keeps her cool in between runs.

On the morning of January 7th, I went to the hospital and told them why I was there. We went through the basic paperwork, and the pre-lab exam. They told me that we couldn’t do the lab tests or the EKG because there weren’t any orders from the doctor.

If infection is found that has caused blood to be present in your cat’s stool, the convention way to treat an infection is with a 7 to 10 day course of antibiotic. The problem with treating your cat with antibiotics is that they have side effects and can actually worsen your cat’s symptoms and increase your pet’s chance of having recurring problems.

Many cat beds have a pillows made of fleece to keep them warm. They are oval shaped and have high sides or they may be completely enclosed. Cats like to find a secure, warm spot to rest. For many, getting into the tight warm couch cushion seems like the ideal place.

If you don’t want a pedigree animal, most of which come with their own set of problems, then I would encourage a visit to your local animal rescue charity. They desperately need responsible people to rehome cats and they need the money too. If you do want a pedigree animal, then a visit to a cat show may pay dividends or failing that, check out the internet or your local paper for reputable breeders. You may have to put your name on a waiting list for a kitten as they’re not available all year round.

“Guess the word” – involves combining or blending the separate sounds in a word in order to say the word. The parent spells a word out within the sentence and the child has to guess the word. For example “Y/e/s you can have a drink” “You can n/o/t stay up until midnight”.
