Hypertension (HT) and diabetes mellitus (DM) and are major disease burdens in all healthcare systems. Cisplatin in vivo Given their high impact on morbidity, premature death and direct medical costs, we need to optimise effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of primary care for patients with HT/DM. This study aims to find out the association of trajectories in disease patterns and treatment of patients with HT/DM including multimorbidity and continuity of care with disease outcomes and service utilisation over 10 years in order to identify better approaches to delivering primary care services.
A 10-year retrospective cohort study on a population-based primary care cohort of Chinese patients with documented doctor-diagnosed HT and/or DM, managed in the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA) public primary care clinics from 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2019. Data will be extracted from the HA Clinical Management System to identify trajectory patterns of patients with HT/DM. Complications defined by ICPC-2/International Classificatnal conferences.

Improved identification of patients with complex needs early during hospitalisation may help target individuals at risk of delayed discharge with interventions to prevent iatrogenic complications, reduce length of stay and increase the likelihood of a successful discharge home.
In this retrospective cohort study, we linked home care assessment records based on the Resident Assessment Instrument for Home Care (RAI-HC) of 210 931 hospitalised patients with their Discharge Abstract Database records. We then undertook multivariable logistic regression analyses to identify preadmission predictive factors for delayed discharge from hospital.
Characteristics that predicted delayed discharge included advanced age (OR 2.72, 95% CI 2.55 to 2.90), social vulnerability (OR 1.27, 95% CI 1.08 to 1.49), Parkinsonism (OR 1.34, 95% CI 1.28 to 1.41) Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (OR 1.27, 95% CI 1.23 to 1.31), need for long-term care facility services (OR 2.08, 95% CI 1.96 to 2.21), difficulty in performing activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, falls (OR 1.16, 95% CI 1.12 to 1.19) and problematic behaviours such as wandering (OR 1.29, 95% CI 1.22 to 1.38).
Predicting delayed discharge prior to or on admission is possible. Characteristics associated with delayed discharge and inability to return home are easily identified using existing interRAI home care assessments, which can then facilitate the targeting of pre-emptive interventions immediately on hospital admission.

The prevalence of HIV/AIDS is high and is associated with psychiatric morbidity and suicide risk. The objective of this study will be to assess the rates of suicidal ideation, suicide attempts and suicide deaths in people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).
We present a study protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies reporting the suicidality outcomes (suicidal ideation, suicide attempts and suicide deaths) in PLWHA. PubMed (MEDLINE), Scopus, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, OVID (HEALTH STAR), OVID (MEDLINE), Joanna Briggs Institute EBP Database, Web of Science and PsychINFO databases will be searched from their inception until 1 January 2020. The primary outcome of interest will be the incidence of suicidality in PLWHA. In addition, we will delineate risk factors associated with suicidality in PLWHA. Citations, full-text articles and abstracts will be screened by four reviewers independently. Disagreements will be resolved through discussion. The study methodological quality (or bias) will be app inception until 1 January 2020.

China has the largest number of patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) in the world. Numerous pharmacological strategies are available for CHD in routine clinical practice. CHD-induced angina pectoris affects patients’ quality of life and is a key predictor of prognosis. This study will compare the effectiveness of different antiangina treatments, particularly ATP-sensitive potassium channel (K
) activators, in the Central China District. This proposal underpins the first comparison of antiangina therapies in patients with CHD in China using a multicentre, retrospective, hospital system-based assessment.
This retrospective real-world study will assess the largest hospital databases in Wuhan City in Central China to evaluate outcomes including mortality, revascularisation, myocardial infarction (MI), stroke and other cardio-cerebrovascular events in patients with CHD. Data will be consecutively collected between 1 April 2009 and 31 August 2019 through the hospital information system, laboratory informreported a protocol related to a pre-results. Data will be presented in peer-reviewed journals, social media and relevant conferences.

The lateral undulation pattern referring to the trunk-limbs coordination gives animals advantages in terms of motion speed, dynamical stability, and highly efficient movement. Quantitative analysis of the angular variables of the trunk and limbs was proposed to compare the kinematics of Gekko gecko on the vertical plane in the standing wave and traveling wave of lateral undulation patterns. Thirteen angular variables were measured to illustrate the kinematic characteristics of trunk flexion, girdles rotation, scapula rotation, trunk deflection, femoral/humeral protraction-retraction, abduction-adduction, and rotation around their axes, and knee/elbow flexion-extension. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) tested for mean differences between patterns for maximum value, minimum value, and range value of each angular variable. The geckos adapted to the changes in locomotion velocity by dynamically adjusting the joints angular variables.
