    RESULTS Low dose frankincense and myrrha increased cell proliferation and migration in HUCs compared with control (P less then 0.05). CONCLUSION frankincense and myrrha modulate urothelial wound healing, which ameliorates typical features of acute IC/PBS in rats.OBJECTIVE To evaluate the quality of the existing studies and summarize evidence of important outcomes of meta-analyses/systematic reviews (MAs/SRs) of CFS. METHODS Potentially eligible studies were searched in the following electronic databases from inception to 1 September, 2019 Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), WanFang Database (WF), Web of Science, Embase, PubMed and Cochrane Library. Grades of Recommendation, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) was used to evaluate the quality of evidence. The methodological quality of the literature was evaluated by A Measure Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews-2 (AMSTAR-2) and the quality of the report was assessed by Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA). The intra-class correlation coefficient was used to assess the consistency of the reviewers, with an overall intraclass correlation coefficient score of 0.967. RESULTS Ten MAs/SRs were included. The overall conclusions were that acupuncture had good safety and efficacy in the treatment of CFS, but some of these results were contradictory. The GRADE indicated that out of the 17 outcomes, high-quality evidence was provided in 0 (0%), moderate in 3 (17.65%), low in 10 (58.82%), and very low in 4 (23.53%). The results of AMSTAR-2 showed that the methodological quality of all included studies was critically low. The PRISMA statement revealed that 8 articles (80%) were in line with 20 of the 27-item checklist, and 2 articles (20%) matched with 10-19 of the 27 items. CONCLUSION We found that acupuncture on treating CFS has the advantage for efficacy and safety, but the quality of SRs/MAs of acupuncture for CFS need to be improved.TPST is involved in fructose signaling to regulate the root development and expression of genes in biological processes including auxin biosynthesis and accumulation in Arabidopsis. Sulfonation of proteins by tyrosine protein sulfotransferases (TPST) has been implicated in many important biological processes in eukaryotic organisms. Arabidopsis possesses a single TPST gene and its role in auxin homeostasis and root development has been reported. Here we show that the Arabidopsis tpst mutants are hypersensitive to fructose. In contrast to sucrose and glucose, fructose represses primary root growth of various ecotypes of Arabidopsis at low concentrations. RNA-seq analysis identified 636 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in Col-0 seedlings in response to fructose verses glucose. GO and KEGG analyses of the DEGs revealed that fructose down-regulates genes involved in photosynthesis, glucosinolate biosynthesis and IAA biosynthesis, but up-regulates genes involved in the degradation of branched amino acids, sucrose starvation response, and dark response. Interestingly, the fructose up-regulated DEGs includes genes encoding two AtTPST substrate proteins, Phytosulfokine 2 (PSK2) and Root Meristem Growth Factor 7 (RGF7). Synthesized peptides of PSK-α and RGF7 could restore the fructose hypersensitivity of tpst mutant plants. Our findings suggest that fructose serves as a signal to regulate the expression of genes involved in various biological processes including auxin biosynthesis and accumulation, and that modulation of auxin accumulation and distribution in roots by fructose might be partly mediated by the TPST substrate genes PSK-α and RGF7.PURPOSE Survivors of cervical cancer have an increased risk for permanently reduced work ability qualifying for disability pension (DP). Few studies describe the social and health situation of long-term survivors of cervical cancer (LSCCs) on DP as a subgroup among LSCCs. The purpose was to investigate the socio-demographic and health status of LSCCs holding DP in a population-based cohort using LSCCs holding paid work as reference. METHODS Altogether, 354 LSCCs under 67 years (age of retirement pension in Norway) at survey participated in this study. They responded to a mailed questionnaire containing social, health, and clinical issues. RESULTS Among LSCCs 24% held DP at a median of 11 years (range 6-15) after diagnosis versus 12% in the general female population. Compared to LSCCs in paid work, those on DP had significantly higher mean age at survey, short education, more comorbid somatic diseases, poorer self-rated health, higher level of neurotoxic side effects, more chronic fatigue, and higher mean levels of anxiety and depression. Increased age, presence of musculo-skeletal diseases, and increased levels of depression and pain remained significantly associated with DP in multivariate analysis. CONCLUSIONS One in four LSCCs held DP which was twice the rate of the general female population. Several somatic and psychological conditions amenable to treatment were significantly associated with holding DP. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS LSCCs holding DP should check their health regularly since conditions that can be treated are common, and health care providers should be aware of this opportunity.It has been shown that the conditioned medium of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSC-CM) can inhibit apoptosis of neural cells exposed to 2,5-hexanedione (HD), but its protective mechanism remains unclear. To investigate the underlying mechanism, VSC4.1 cells were given HD and 5, 10 and 15% BMSC-CM (v/v) in the current experiment. Our data showed that BMSC-CM concentration-dependently attenuated HD-induced cell apoptosis. Moreover, BMSC-CM remarkably decreased the mitochondrial cytochrome c (Cyt C) release and the caspase-3 activity in HD-given VSC4.1 cells. Given a relatively high expression of NGF in BMSCs and BMSC-CM, we hypothesized that NGF might be an important mediator of the protection of BMSC-CM against apoptosis induced by HD. To verify our hypothesis, the VSC4.1 cells were administrated with NGF and anti-NGF antibody in addition to HD. As expected, NGF could perfectly mimic BMSC-CM’s protective role and these beneficial effects were abolished by anti-NGF antibody intervention. To further explore its mechanism, inhibitors of TrkA and Akt were given to the VSC4.
