Major royal jelly proteins (MRJPs) is a kind of water-soluble protein, which is abundant in royal jelly (RJ). The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of MRJPs on lipid accumulation and oxidative stress of liver cells. Here, we first optimized the conditions for extracting MRJPs from RJ and identified the extraction effect and product by SDS-PAGE. Then, we used oleic acid (OA) of 1.0 mM to induce hepatocytes for 24 hr to establish a stable cell models of lipid accumulation, and we found that pre-administration (24 hr) of MRJPs (0.2, 0.5, and 1.0 g/L) could significantly reduce the lipid drop content and triglyceride level in the model cells, and simultaneously reduce the alanine aminotransferase and aspertate aminotransferase levels in the cell culture supernatant. In addition, pre-incubation (24 hr) with MRJPs (0.2, 0.5, and 1.0 g/L) could restore superoxes, but also provide ideas for research on oxidative stress and lipid accumulation in the body.

At a naturally occurring diploid-tetraploid contact zone of the autopolyploid desert shrub Larrea tridentata, we combined flower phenology analyses, collections of bees on plants of known cytotype, and flow cytometry analyses of bee-collected pollen loads to investigate whether (1) diploid and tetraploid plants have unique bee pollinator assemblages, (2) bee taxa exhibit ploidy-specific visitation and pollen collection biases, and (3) specialist and generalist bee taxa have ploidy-specific visitation and pollen collection biases.
Although bee assemblages overlapped, we found significant differences in bee visitation to co-occurring diploids and tetraploids, with the introduced honeybee (Apis mellifera) and one native species (Andrena species 12) more frequently visiting tetraploids. Consistent with bee assemblage differences, we found that diploid pollen was overrepresented among pollen loads on native bees, while pollen loads on A. mellifera did not deviate from the random expectation. However, mismatches between the ploidy of pollen loads and plants were common, consistent with ongoing intercytotype gene flow.
Our data are consistent with cytotype-specific bee visitation and suggest that pollinator behavior contributes to reduced diploid-tetraploid mating. Differences in bee visitation and pollen movement potentially contribute to an easing of minority cytotype exclusion and the facilitation of cytotype co-occurrence.

The present study assessed the predictive value of peritumoral regions on three tumor tasks, and further explored the influence of peritumors with different sizes.
We retrospectively collected 333 samples of gastrointestinal stromal tumors from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and 183 samples of gastrointestinal stromal tumors from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital. We also collected 211 samples of laryngeal carcinoma and 233 samples of nasopharyngeal carcinoma from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University. The tasks of three tumor datasets were risk assessment (gastrointestinal stromal tumor), T3/T4 staging prediction (laryngeal carcinoma), and distant metastasis prediction (nasopharyngeal carcinoma), respectively. First, deep learning and radiomics were respectively used to construct peritumoral models, to study whether the peritumor had predictive value on three tumor datasets. Furthermore, we defined different sizes peritumors including fixed asopharyngeal carcinoma datasets, radiomics is also more suitable for modeling peritumors than deep learning. The size of the peritumor is critical in this task, and only the performance of 1.5mm-4.5mm peritumors is stable.
Our results indicate that peritumors have additional predictive value in three tumor datasets through deep learning or radiomics. The definitions of the peritumoral region and artificial intelligence method also have great influence on the performance of the peritumor.
