Children with conduct problems have difficulty with rule adherence, and linking early conduct problems with later adherence to COVID-19 guidelines can provide new insight into public health. The current study employed a sample (N = 744) designed to examine the longitudinal consequences of childhood conduct problems (Mean age at study entry = 8.39). The first objective was to link early conduct problems with later adherence to both general and specific COVID-19 guidelines during emerging adulthood (M age = 19.07). The second objective was to prospectively examine how interactional (i.e., callous unemotional traits, impulsivity) and cumulative (i.e., educational attainment, work status, substance use) continuity factors mediated this association.     We investigated the prognostic ability of tumor subtype for patients with breast cancer brain metastases (BCBM) treated with stereotactic radiation (SRT).

    This is a retrospective review of 181 patients who underwent SRT to 664 BCBM from 2004 to 2019. Patients were stratified by subtype hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative (HR+/HER2-), HR-positive, HER2-positive (HR+/HER2+), HR-negative, HER2-positive (HR-/HER2+), and triple negative (TN). The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate overall survival (OS), local control (LC), and distant intracranial control (DIC) from the date of SRT. Multivariate analysis (MVA) was conducted using the Cox proportional hazards model.

    Median follow up from SRT was 11.4months. Of the 181 patients, 47 (26%) were HR+/HER2+, 30 (17%) were HR-/HER2+, 60 (33%) were HR+/HER2-, and 44 (24%) were TN. Of the 664 BCBMs, 534 (80%) received single fraction stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) with a median dose of 21Gy (range 12-24Gy), and 130 (20%) received fractionated stereotactic radiation therapy (FSRT), with a median dose of 25Gy (range 12.5-35Gy) delivered in 3 to 5 fractions. One-year LC was 90%. Two-year DIC was 35%, 23%, 27%, and 16% (log rank, p = 0.0003) and 2-year OS was 54%, 47%, 24%, and 12% (log rank, p < 0.0001) for HR+/HER2+, HR-/HER2+, HR+/HER2-, and TN subtypes, respectively. On MVA, the TN subtype predicted for inferior DIC (HR 1.62, 95% CI 1.00-2.60, p = 0.049). The modified breast-Graded Prognostic Assessment (GPA) significantly predicted DIC and OS (both p < 0.001).

Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequence indicated that strain LZ-15-2 belonged to the genus Marivita within the family Rhodobacteraceae, and demonstrated the highest gene similarity of 99.2% to M. cryptomonadis CL-SK44T, and less than 98.65% with other type strains of Marivita. Phylogenomic calculations on average nucleotide identity (ANI) and digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values between the new isolate and M. cryptomonadis CL-SK44T were 99.86% and 99.88%, respectively. Genomic comparison of strain LZ-15-2 with available genomes of Marivita species further verified its taxonomic position within the genus of Marivita. Moreover, comparative genomics analysis showed a proximal similarity of strain LZ-15-2 with M. cryptomonadis CL-SK44T, and it also revealed an open pan-genome status based on constructed gene accumulation curves among Marivita members with 9,361 and 1,712 genes for the pan- and core-genome analysis, respectively. Based on combined polyphasic taxonomic characteristics, strain LZ-15-2 represents a new member of M. cryptomonadis, and proposed as a potential candidate for further exploration of the detailed mechanisms governing the dynamic cross-kingdom algae-bacteria interactions (ABI) between PM and their algal host LZT09.

    Most spider crab species inhabiting the Red Sea have not been characterized genetically, in addition to the variation and complexity of morphological identification of some cryptic species. The present study was conducted to verify the identification of two morphotypes of the spider crab Menaethius monoceros (Latreille, 1825) in the family Epialtidae Macleay, 1838, collected from the Red Sea, Egypt. DNA barcoding of two mitochondrial markers, cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) and 16S, was used successfully to differentiate between these morphotypes.

    DNA barcoding and genetic analyses combined with morphological identification showed that the two morphotypes were clustered together with low genetic distances ranged from 1.1 to 1.7% COI and from 0.0 to 0.06% 16S. Hence, this morphological variation is considered as individual variation within the same species.

    The present study successively revealed that genetic analyses are important to confirm the spider crab’s identification in case of morphological overlapping and accelerate the accurate identification of small-sized crab species.
