    As essential components of cycle growth, the cell division cycle-associated family genes (CDCAs) have crucial roles in tumor development and progression, especially in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, due to the tumor heterogeneity of HCC, little is known about the methylation variability of CDCAs in mediating phenotypic changes (e.g., immune infiltrates) in HCC. Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) immune microenvironment plays an important role in the tumorigenesis. This research investigated the characteristics of immune cell invasion of renal cell carcinoma and provided clues for future clinical implementation. Retrospectively, ccRCC gene expression was analyzed with appropriate clinicopathological data from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and GEO database up to December 2019. The CIBERSORT algorithm, meta-analysis, principal component analysis (PCA), Single-Sample Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (ssGSEA) and hierarchical agglomerative clustering were used to measure and evaluate the respective proportions of 22 cell types of immune infiltration using normalized gene expression data. We also focused on evaluating the association with TIICs subpopulations and clinical features and molecular subtypes. TIICs subpopulation, especially Macrophages subgroup, T follicular helper (Tfh) cells and CD8 T cells, all contribute to tumorigenesis. Unsupervised clustering analysis revealed that there existed two distinct TIICs subgroups with different survival patterns. TIICs are extensively involved in the pathogenesis and development of the ccRCC. Characterizing the composition of TIICs influences the metabolism of tumors, activity, level, stage, and survival of patients. Collectively, the TIIC analysis has the potential to assist in the assessment and selection of ccRCC prognosis and treatment.

    In 2017 infectious bursal disease viruses (IBDVs) were reclassified into genogroups based on nature of clustering on a phylogenetic tree constructed using VP2 gene sequence data rather than according to their pathotype and/or antigenic types. Ethiopian IBD viruses were not reclassified according to the proposed genogrouping.

    In order to genogroup the Ethiopian IBDVs, available VP2 gene sequences data together with reference strain sequences were retrieved from GenBank and genogrouped as recently recommended based on evolutionary tree reconstruction and determination of their clustering on the phylogenetic tree.

    The Ethiopian IBDVs were grouped into genogroups 1 and 3 that antigenically represent classically virulent and very virulent IBDVs, respectively. The genogroup 1 IBDVs were clustered with the vaccine strain while the genogroup 3 viruses were clustered with four known viruses belonging to sub-genogroup 3a and sub-genogroup 3b. Almost half of the Ethiopian IBDVs reported did not cluster with the spd in the sequences that could be one of the reasons for the frequent occurrence of IBD outbreaks and questions the protective potential of the existing vaccine. To institute disease control in the country, the effectiveness of the vaccine in use needs to be assessed in vivo against both genogroups 1 and 3 viruses and all three sub-genogroup 3 viruses circulating in the country.
