, and Balannec et al. model for lactic acid fermentation. Based on nonlinear regression analysis, Modified Gompertz, and Monteagudo et al. model gave a better fit to describe microbial growth and lactic acid production, respectively. The growth-associated and non-growth-associated coefficients were determined to be 0.1104 and 0.0042, respectively,…[Read more]

Our method sxPDH boosts prediction performance using S-ISOMAP and XGBoost. The AUC of the model is 0.773, and the F1 score is 0.713. Experimental results on benchmark dataset indicate that sxPDH can achieve generally better performance in predicting hot spots compared to the state-of-the-art methods.
Our method sxPDH boosts prediction…[Read more]

71 ± 10.34%). The combined impact of all the factors on the accuracy was found to be nonsignificant by the multivariate analysis. The Hiwale-1 (-0.59 ± 8.75%) and Hiwale-2 (-0.65 ± 8.7%) formulas had statistically significant less errors compared to the Hadlock-4 formula (11.67 ± 7.95%).
All the studied clinical factors were found to hav…[Read more]

Tropical mountain forests contribute disproportionately to terrestrial biodiversity but little is known about insect diversity in the canopy and how it is distributed between tree species. We sampled tree-specific arthropod communities from 28 trees by canopy fogging and analysed beetle communities which were first morphotyped and then identified…[Read more]

In DPN patients, DRG volume was negatively correlated with the neuropathy disability score (r = -0.43; 95%CI = -0.66 to -0.14; p = 0.02), a measure of neuropathy severity. DRG volume showed negative correlations with triglycerides (r = -0.40; 95%CI = -0.57 to -0.19; p = 0.006), and LDL cholesterol (r = -0.33; 95%CI = -0.51 to -0.11; p = 0.04).…[Read more]
