The Microsoft Word 2019 suite includes applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. If you have Office 2007, Office 2010, Office 365, or Office 2013, you can open the documents you create without any additional action. Customers using earlier versions of Office may need to download and install a compatibility pack.

Your documents, everywhere: Office 2019 applications make it easier to harness the power of feature-rich applications to create, open, edit, and save files to the cloud from your desktop, so you can access them from anywhere, on any device. Plus, new modern attachments in Outlook make it easy to attach files from OneDrive and automatically set up permissions for recipients, without leaving Outlook. All of this makes it easier to share and collaborate on your work with others.
Collaboration: Real-time co-authoring is available today in Office Online apps, and we’re bringing this experience to Windows desktop applications, starting with Word. When you and your team work in Word 2019 and/or Office Online, you’ll be able to see where other editors are working and what they’re writing, all in real time.
Intelligent apps: Apps will learn as you work, using suggestions and subtle cues to help you stay focused and get more out of Office. Tell Me, a new search tool available in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, gives you the commands you need by simply typing what you want to do. Clutter, a new Exchange feature that lights up in Outlook, uses machine learning to analyze email patterns and declutter your inbox by moving lower-priority messages and into a new Clutter folder. And Insights, powered by Bing, finds contextual information from the web within the reading experience.
Data analysis made easier and faster: New analytics capabilities are built into Excel, so you can mine, map, analyze, and visualize your data faster and easier than ever before.
