I went to see this film during a free screening
I had high hopes because the two leads are phenomenal actors. I wanted to love this film, but it felt disjointed. In most films where something mysterious/emotional happens, there’s a buildup.
You feel connected to them
You get to know the characters. In this case, there was no such buildup. It was hard to really feel anything about what was going on.
This film was meant for Netflix, not the big screen
I’m also not a fan of films that connect multiple timelines that go back and forth. Especially when there’s not much to say which timeline you’re following. Check out our list of exciting new movies from this year.
